Overview
City Recruitment Group Executive are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (qualified) to work on a permanent basis. The working hours are shift based, 4 days on and 4 days off (6am-6pm).
Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Operating procedures, and ensuring company and customer technical standards are maintained.
Contributing to the construction of a planned preventative maintenance programme.
Minimising downtime through ensuring regular maintenance of equipment.
Maintain the Engineering work orders, and keep accurate Engineering records.
Planning of remedial works, ensuring all parts are available.
Ensure work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with standards.
Attend regular team meetings and briefings.
Mentor any new starters in the department.
Ensure a safe working environment for all.
Support the site management in ongoing activities.
Assist in the installations of machinery and changeovers and set ups accordingly.
Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer
Knowledge of relevant systems and processes would be an advantage.
Ensure Health & Safety is a priority for the team and others.
Good communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate root cause analysis.
Be able to assist with planning and coordinating of the days' activities.
Flexible approach and understanding to out of hours working when required.
Desirable FMCG experience.
Desirable experience within the chocolate industry- including work with moulding lines, tempering units, flowrappers and refiners.
